Motorola locks horns with Apple again

Apple and Motorola have locking often quite often these days. It all started with antenna issues of the new Apple iPhone 4. What was thought to be one of the greatest smartphones ever hasn’t enjoyed the same success in the market owing because of the antenna problem. If you have purchased the iPhone 4 already, you might be aware of this. There is problem with the call quality when you hold the phone in a specific position. Apple has been working on it but the problem still has not being fully resolved.

Motorola droid x vs iPhone 4

Motorola, a rival company, is taking full advantage of the iPhone 4 crisis. Motorola is aggressively advertising the Droid X, its latest product, by saying that you can hold the phone ‘any way you like’. This has certainly got on Apples nerves and they made a video which shows that the Droid X too has these issues of attenuation when you hold the product in a specific way in your right hand. We have tested the Droid X already and didn’t find any danger zone on the phone. It has been a while since then and we these two big wigs had finally calmed down.

However, there is still no love lost between the cell phone manufacturers. Apple recently came out with a solution to the antenna problems by providing free cases with the iPhone4. The gadget is wrapped in a case, you don’t touch the antenna and hence there are no call quality problems. Motorola have taken yet another swipe at the iPhone 4 by saying that the Droid X ‘doesn’t need any jacket’. This will certainly not go well with Apple and maybe they will come out with something better.
