Loughran Nokia MD UK dumps the company
Mark Loughran was Nokia’s MD for UK and Ireland. He has announced that he will has resigned from the company and will be joining ‘Pace’ which makes set-top-boxes. Nokia is going through a lot of changes in its management line up. First it was the company CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo who was fired owing to the poor handset sales. Then Nokia VP Anssi Vanjoki soon resigned and many people believe it was because Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo was terminated by Nokia. Jorma Ollila, the Nokia chairman, too resigned soon after that.
When contacted Nokia about this but they declined to comment. We also don’t know who will be replacing him. Loughran joined Nokia, the Finnish cell phone maker, way back in 2007 and he was made the MD for UK and Ireland in early 2009.
