Be on the look out of Acer Iconia Tab A700, which will serve as big brother to A200. The Iconia Tab A700 will feature a 10.1 inch screen that boasts 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution, Nvidia Tegra 3 Chip and quad-core processor with potential to clock at up to 1.3GHz each. Its 9800mAh battery will last for 10 hours of video playback. It weighs 650 grams and measures 9.8mm thick.

The Acer Iconia Tab A200 was revealed in United Kingdom this week for the price of £299; therefore you can expect the Acer Iconia Tab A700 for $500. The A200 is little thicker and has less impressive specifications as compared to A700. It gets Nvidia Tegra 2 processor and similar 10.1 inch screen with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. It doesn’t come with Ice Cream Sandwich, but the company has an upgrade planned for 2012.

Leisurely, manufacturing companies have started to announce Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade details for their smartphone portfolios and now it is LG’s turn. These upgrades will be introduced some time in 2nd and 3rd quarter next year with quite a few notable smartphones missing from Android 4.0 lineup. LG Corporation announced the following today: during Q2 of 2012, updates will start for the following smartphones such as Prada phone by LG 3.0, LG Optimus LTE, LG Optimus 2X, LG Optimus Sol, LG my Touch Q and LG Eclipse. These updates will be followed by updates from following smartphones during Q3 of 2012; LG Optimus 3D, LG Optimus Black, LG Optimus Big, LG Optimus Q2 and LG Optimus EX.

The Optimus 2X is also in the list to feature Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade, however the T-Mobile G2X is unfortunately missing. It isn’t sure that why this smartphone won’t be getting an upgrade as G2X is fundamentally similar to Optimus 2X, just with quite a few software customization. The first set of upgrades will be introduced in the second quarter of 2012, while the second set will be sometime between April and June. LG Corporation rounds out the 4th biggest manufacturing company for outlining Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade timeline following Sony Ericsson, Motorola and Samsung. Well, you are going to have to wait for custom ROM.

Samsung finally officially launched their Samsung Omnia W, which is the company’s first smartphone running Windows’ Mango OS. Samsung plans to release the Smartphone in Italy later this month and after that it will be launching it all through Europe, Southeast and SouthWest Asia and Latin America. We didn’t have any information on when the handset will be entering the US markets.

It should be known that Samsung was one of the very few early supporters of Microsoft’s Windows Phone mobile platform. The handset has very small success in its early days. The mango update for the handset has been applauded and praised by tech experts and analysts, but whether it will be successful with the consumers or not remains to be seen, and it will also be interesting to see how the handset performs against Apple’s iPhone and Android Smartphones.

The Samsung Omnia W will be having 8 GB of storage, a 1.4 GHz processor, a 3.7 in Super AMOLED touchscreen and 512 MB of memory. The handset will also be having a 5 MP Autofocus camera having LED flash in its rear end and for video chat there is a front facing VGA camera. The camera also has the capability to record 720p video.

The forthcoming Samsung Omnia W will also be having a plenty of modern Smartphone features like Bluetooth, accelerometer, Wi-Fi, gyroscope sensors and magnetometer. Though, the specifications for the handset are rather impressive, we would say that they still are low in comparison to Galaxy S II, which is the flagship model of Samsung running on Android OS of Google.

If should be known that Nokia released those handsets last month only, and those handsets includes the Nokia 701 and Nokia 700. Both the newly launched Smartphones are expected to enter the market in coming few years.

According to the latest reports featuring the Finnish manufacturer, the company has confirmed the consignment for these Smartphones through a Twitter update. The report has also been confirmed by a Nokia spokesperson.

Now, while the arrival of the handsets is confirmed, we still didn’t have any confirmed date for the availability of the handsets and neither has to hear any confirmed pricing for the handsets. Though, reports claims that Nokia 700 is supposed to be priced at Rs 17,000, while the Nokia 701 will be priced at Rs 19,000.

The most important thing to know about the newly coming Smartphones is that both the handsets will run on the all new variant of the Symbian operating system, which has shown some major updates and improvements in the videos in which it has been captured.

We first heard of Motorola’s Verizon Droid Bionic, back in January, and since then it has been nine months of only hearing. Finally, our wait has paid off and now we have the DROID Bionic announced by Motorola.

The way to enter in the market has not been all-smooth for the Motorola Droid Bionic, and the device itself has seen its fair share of revisions internally as well as externally during all this delay. Because of the delay of nine months, the handset that we are seeing now is completely different from the device that is been launched in the market today. Now, while the handset has being given quite a number of revisions, it’s nice to see that the handset still is rocking and lives up to the hype that surrounded its launch.

Considering the fact that the Bionic will be placed at the top shelf of Verizon, and the fact that many manufacturers already have heard a lot about it, the existence of the handset in the market definitely will not be very easy and it will be compared with quite a number of handsets. It becomes even worst considering the fact that Apple probably could launch their next iPhone in coming few weeks. Now, as the handset just has been launched in the market, we do not have any solid information about the nature and potential of the handset, but we soon will be publishing our complete review for the handset. But as for now, you can read the specifications of the handset and could imagine the capabilities of the device.

Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)

OneGHz Dual-core Processor

1 GB DDR2 Ram (up from 512MB at the inventive announcement)

16 Gigabyte of interior storage, in addition to a pre-installed 16GB microSD card

4.3 inch qHD display having native resolution of 960 × 540 Display

Verizon LTE/4G Support

Mirror/HDMI Mode

4G LTE Mobile Hotspot (equal to 5 devices)

802.11n b/g/n

1735mAh battery

Bluetooth v2.1+ EDR

Eight MP rear cameras

0.3 MP VGA front camera (Blyeck)

The Motorola DROID Bionic will be offered with Verizon and if you are thinking about buying the device then you will have to pay $299 for the Droid Bionic along with a fresh two-year contract or you even could get it from full retail for $599.

In an important announcement ahead of an occasion in New York, Samsung announced the arrival of Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone to three major carriers in United States. The Samsung Galaxy S II will be available with T-Mobile, Sprint and AT&T, but none of the launched versions will be having access to the 4G LTE networks of their respective carriers.

Instead of the 4G LTE the Samsung Galaxy S II will run AT&T and T-Mobile’s HSPA+, in addition to Sprint’s WiMAX, but apart from these the other specs for the Galaxy S II will remain the same for all the models on all the carriers. All the Galaxy S II models will be powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, an 800 x 480 4.3 in screen, 1GB of RAM and Android 2.3 Gingerbread in addition to the TouchWiz interface of Samsung.

All the three Samsung Galaxy S II handsets will be having internal storage of 16GB as standard storage option, but that could further be expanded up to 32 GB using a microSD card. Some other specs for the handset includes the likes of a rear-facing 8-megapixel camera which is capable of recording 1080p video and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Over the weekend Samsung proclaimed that they will soon be launching the LTE versions of both the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and Samsung Galaxy S II; it seems that, the devices that were announced are not these devices.

The AT&T variant of the handset is the thinnest measuring 8.89 mm, which beats the Sprint variant of the phone measuring 9.65 millimeters. The Sprint variant of the phone will be called the Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch and will be launched on 16th of September and will be priced at $199.99, while the plain old Samsung Galaxy S II will be offered with AT&T and will be launched on September 18 . The prices for either of devices have not been disclosed, and for the T-Mobile versions neither the price nor the launch date has been announced.

Samsung will be launching one more handset to accompany company’s Nexus S on their range the Samsung Conquer 4G. The all new Samsung Conquer 4G will be one another Smartphone offering from the company and will be priced at $99.99

The all new Samsung Conquer 4G will be entering the Sprint stores on 21st of August and will be available for 1-cent-less than $100 price mark if you are signing a 2 year 4G data plan of the company when buying the device, said Sprint on Friday.

It’s nice to see that Samsung also is one of the company which makes the Nexus S Smartphone, that was designed using Google’s input. Both the Samsung Conquer 4G and Samsung Nexus S runs on 4G networks and are powered by a 1-GHz processor and will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread mobile Operating System of Google.

The Samsung Conquer 4G flaunts a 3.5 in touchscreen, while the Samsung Nexus S had a 4 in display screen. Both the handsets from Samsung feature rear and front cameras for all sorts of videos, video chatting and photos.

The Samsung Nexus S was fitted with 16 GB of internal memory, while the Conquer will be having a 2 GB of memory card, but we haven’t heard anything on the on board memory of the handset from Sprint and Samsung.

Some other handsets from Samsung that offers 4G speeds for the price tag of $99.99 from Sprint are the HTC Evo 4G and HTC Evo Shift 4G smartphones. So if you are thinking of switching to even faster 4G speeds of Sprint, then these three handsets mentioned here is real deal for you.

If the latest reports from market are to believed Nokia will be stopping the sale of their Symbian based handsets and feature phones in North America, as the company moves their complete focus on the Microsoft Windows-based handsets.

According to a Nokia official, as the company introduced the Windows phone, the company will be out of the Symbian business and the S40 business etc. Then it only will be about the accessories and the Windows Phone around that. The reality in this case is that if the company didn’t succeed with Windows Phone, whatever the company does will not matter.

The Nokia officials also said that Nokia will be selling the handsets exclusively through carriers, which is kind of a strange statement from the company which generally sells unsubsidized, unlocked handsets overseas and has tried to do the same even in US.

The very first Windows Phone handset, codenamed Sea Ray is scheduled to enter the market this fall. The company also introduced a brand new Symbian device, the Nokia 500 which reflected a fresh naming system of the company.
