HTC Sensation 4G is an Android based touchscreen smartphone, which provides high quality sleek design, 8-megapixel camera, gorgeous 4.3 inch qHD screen and 1.2GHz dual core processor. Its excellent user experience and design with its solid performance, makes the Sensation 4G one of the top pick for T-Mobile customers and one of the best smartphones in the market. T-Mobile and HTC Corporation originally launched the Sensation 4G in the month of April with 4.3 inch screen and 1.2GHz processor. It is available for the price of $199.99 with $50 mail-in rebate and two-year contract. The Sensation 4G is one of the most well designed and best looking smartphones with sleek and solid design, aluminium unibody chassis and high quality streamlined construction. HTC Trophy – Responsive Platform Experience

thumbnail
HTC Trophy is a well designed smartphone, which provides world roaming capabilities, compact design, user friendly interface and solid integration with Office and Zune. It isn’t the most sophisticated or powerful smartphone of Verizon, but those who don’t require all the whistles and bells, the Windows Phone provides superior integration of features and great ease of use in a sleek package. The Trophy is available for the price of $149.99 with two-year contract. It is pretty simple as compared to extra large screen of HTC HD7 and slide out speaker of HTC Surround. It measures 0.47 inch thick, 4.67 inches high, 2.42 inches wide and weighs 4.94 ounces, and is pretty simple sleek. The sleek profile feels solid in the hand and makes it easy to slip in the pants pocket. The HTC Trophy’s soft touch finish and aluminium like bezel have nice touches, as is the red interior at the back of the battery door. It features a 3.8 inches that boasts 480 x 800-pixel resolution with  [...]

HTC 740 – Elegant slider phone

thumbnail
HTC 740 is the successor to S730 and the 740 has a full QWERTY keyboard and classic numeric keypad. This ordinary looking cell phone can easily turn in to a cool messaging device by just moving your fingers. In terms of specifications, the HTC 740 is much ahead. There is a faster processor inside the hood, better camera, more RAM amongst others. But the specifications alone are not enough to determine if the phone is good or not. So let’s go ahead in to more details about the HTC 740. The design of HTC S740 or HTC 740 is in line with the new design language of this company. The back is diamond like and the front is totally flat. However, the shiny and smooth surfaces are a fingerprint magnet and it easily grabs a lot of fingerprints. When it is closed, the phone looks like an ordinary handset but the dimensions are interesting. It is not much longer than HTC Touch HD and the width is normal but  [...]

HTC P6300 – For business users

thumbnail
Not everyone out there is a fan of PDAs and hence I feel that the HTC P6300 will only cater to a small part of the audience. This phone is quite similar to its predecessor and the specifications are largely similar. You can use it for making phone calls or surfing the Web through Wi-Fi and GPRS. This device is a good entertainer, it can be used for playing videos and music and you can also edit and read the most common file formats like Excel and Word documents. This sounds like a versatile phone which caters well to both the youth and business sections of the people. HTC P6300 is exclusive to O2 and it is offered for free on the business contracts of the company. The design of this phone is a bit letdown and according to me, this is the only reason why I think that this device  [...]

XDA Orbit 2 from O2 – 3 MP camera but no flash

thumbnail
XDA Orbit 2 from O2 is a rebranded version of HTC Cruise; it is great smartphone running on Windows Mobile 6 Professional. Also, this phone is successor to original Orbit, which was the first XDA handset to have GPS built-in. It has been a while after that and GPS technology on a cell phone is not really appealing now but some people still like it. This phone is available for free provided you sign a contract with the service provider. XDA Orbit 2 combines the style of HTC Touch and the first Orbit. The XDA Orbit 2 is certainly better than its predecessor. There is a futuristic appeal to it and doesn’t have those typical looks of a boring business phone. The display is 2.8 inches big and viewing content on the phone is really enjoyable. The big screen is complemented by big soft and navigation keys which are easy to press. The four-way, circular  [...]

T-Mobile MyTouch 4G – Excellent call quality

thumbnail
T-Mobile MyTouch 4G is the latest handset from the MyTouch series and there are lots of feature and design enhancements here. The stainless back gives a pretty high end look to the phone. I also liked that the phone runs on Android 2.2 or Froyo which is the latest version. Other goodies on the device include HSPA+ support, mobile hot spot capabilities, Wi-Fi calling, and fast 1 GHz Snapdragon processor. One of the biggest feature on the phone is video calling but in my lab tests, it didn’t work too well. But the manufacturer is working on it and the issue will be solved soon. The cost of T-Mobile MyTouch 4G is $199.99 along with a two year contract. Just like other Android phones, the device too merges the contact information along with calendar appointments from multiple social networking and e-mail accounts including Exchange, POP3, Facebook, IMAP and Twitter. I tried setting up the phone with various accounts and it gave me a list of the contacts which had multiple  [...]

HTC Touch2 (unlocked) – With a new OS

thumbnail
HTC Touch2 is not a new phone, it has been there for a while but still I am covering it here in this review since my e-mail inbox is flooded with requests for review of this gadget. HTC Touch2, when released, was one of the first smartphones to ship with Windows 6.5 OS which brought a host of new features. Hence, the new OS became an instant hit amongst the masses. Some said that is didn’t have any major updates over its predecessor but I think there were some new welcome additions. I read on the Internet that the primary reason why Microsoft released the new update was because it wanted to create a more touch friendly interface. They wanted to make it more appealing to the consumers. HTC Touch2’s Today screen is a lot like Microsoft Zune, which is really like. There is a slide bar which lets you scroll up and down through the various apps on the phone. Sliding sideways on a particular app gives you more information about the app. For instance, if you swipe the calendar  [...]

HTC Snap (Alltel) – with HTC Inner Circle

thumbnail
Alltel is the latest carrier to get HTC Snap. This handset is available from a lot of other service providers like Verizon Wireless, Sprint and T-Mobile. This phone is message centric and it also has the HTC Inner Circle feature which lets you prioritize your e-mail with just a button press. This handset also offers dual mode functionality along with world roaming capabilities. Looking at the price, we would recommend this phone as a nice alternative to BlackBerry phones from the same service provider. This phone is yours for $79.99 and you have to sign a one year service agreement after a $70 mail in rebate. Compare this to Alltel BlackBerry 8830 which costs $249.99. The manufacturer gives this phone with reference manual, software disc, audio adapter, USB cord, wired stereo headset, power adapter, and 4 international adapters. This phone has a good QWERTY keyboard and our fingers didn't feel any fatigue even after we typed on it for a lot of time. Other features worth  [...]
